Calella, April 8, 2025. Following the recent approval of the tourist tax increase in Catalonia, the Government has officially published the new rates that will come into effect on May 1, 2025. This measure applies to all types of tourist accommodation, with differentiated rates depending on location, type, and category of the establishment.
Below are the tourist tax rates in Catalonia 2025, charged per person per night or portion thereof:
Barcelona City (including municipal surcharge)
Valid from May 1, 2025. Includes the municipal surcharge of €4.00/night in force since October 1, 2024:
