This weekend, Calella hosted the 6th. Moments de Flors edition, a floral exhibition for public and private gardens that have a special value and, over the years, have been part of the heritage and history of our city.
Calella is a Floral City. Colored balconies paint the facades with flowers and a Mediterranean pine and oak forest invites you to relax in the Dalmau Park. This hobby, which we share neighbors and institutions, is the protagonist during a weekend, in a party full of colors that dress us in spring.
In 2014, Moments de Flors opened the doors of 8 spaces for the first time in our city. Thanks to the 20,000 visits of the spaces, in 2015, the places that could be visited were expanded to 14. This year, it is increased to 19 spaces, incorporating different balconies and squares.
This year it has reached 36 363 visits in the 19 Moments of Flowers spaces.
All the places chosen for Moments de Flors have been emblematic spaces of Calella, public and private. That is why, from the City Council of Calella, we want to thank the effort and the participation to all the parts that have been involved in the exhibition and, especially, to the gardeners, both of the garden brigade of the Calella Town Hall, as well as private schools, and floral artists, who have worked to leave the city full of flowers and spring feelings, as well as private owners who have allowed citizens access to their homes.
